I can picture A decision in the Griffin fight. Forrest is tough. He has suprised me before.
wow you really think anderson and forrest will go to a decision?
ill honestly be surprised if griffin makes it out of the second round.
i think because rashad and jardine were able to beat forrest in the stand up, anderson should have no problem.
forrest is bigger, and has the weight advantage, but i think there is no aspect of a fight that forrest does better than anderson.
punches=silva
kicks=silva
muay thai=silva
bjj=silva
forrest is a better wrestler than anderson, thats the only style i think forrest holds a slight advantage.
and i know forrest is a good bjj practicioner, but people forget that silva is a black belt under one of the best bjj grapplers in mma, big nog
for forrest to have a shot, he would have to make it an unbelievably boring fight, either try and get on top and use his weight, or stand around and jab and go.
heres how i see the fight going;
they feel each other out, forrest will try and chop andersons legs like he did rampage, anderson will get is timing and land big blows. if forrest doesnt get knocked out early, i see him desperatley trying to get anderson down, anderson has a great sprawl but hendo did take him down, but forrest is not the world class wrestler like henderson is. forrest will try and use the blueprint hendo used, but i dont think he is skilled enough to keep anderson under him.
how do you see the fight going down b?
I can picture A decision in the Griffin fight. Forrest is tough. He has suprised me before.
GO VOLS
one things for sure, its going to be a helluva fight...i just believe forrest's tenacity will and sturdy chin is what will make it go to a decision imo, his striking isnt that bad, obviously not as good as spiders but decent, and his bjj skills are underrated imo
both have alot to prove, silva is under pressure to come out and put on a good show, forrest is looking to beat, as many consider, the worlds #1 p4p
going to be interesting to see how silva handles forrests pressure and it will be interesting to see how forrest handles silvas striking
cant wait to stream this card legally of course![]()
oh yeah me too, i cant wait to legally watch this show live! ;p
forrest will push the pace, thats almost guaranteed, which should lead to an exciting fight at least.
forrest has great bjj skills, he really impressed me when he choked out shogun.
albeit it was during shogun's terrible funk, but less than five years ago shogun was well known as the best LHW fighter in the world.
i think the bj/kenny fight will last longer than this one, but not much longer.
I WANT BJS BELT!! heh
it seems BJ is totally devoted to the LW division.
and because of that, i dont see anyone beating BJ at 155.
main card results so far, BJ/Florian next.
Kurt 'Batman' Pelligrino def. Josh Neer
Johnny Hendricks def. Amir Sadollah
Aaron Riley def. Shane Nelson
Ricardo Almeida def. Kendall Grove
Anderson Silva def. Forrest Griffin
undercard results
Jesse Lennox def. Danillo Villefort via TKO (cut) at 3:37 of round 3
George Sotiropoulos def. George Roop via submission (kimura) at of 1:59 round 2
Matt Riddle def. Dan Cramer by unanimous decision.
Alessio Sakara def. Thales Leites by split decision.
John Howard def. Tamdan McCrory by split decision.
so far im only 5/10, i suck lol
cmon BJ, get me over .500!
I have been reading it was a knock out between silva and griffin, how bad was it?
I think If I did mine correct I am 5 for 5 with 1 fight left.
Leb about the knockout someone described it as the same type of jab that Petrozelli knocked Slice out with.
GO VOLS
